(0003936) caldwell (reporter) 2011-08-02 16:17	upgraded one box to 2.04-latest (as of this date). After checking extensions, I'm getting this error: ERROR: No Fax license detected. Fax-related dialplan will NOT be generated! This module has detected that Fax for Asterisk is installed without a license. At least one license is required (it is available for free) and must be installed. I noticed that app_fax.so is no longer listed under /usr/lib/asterisk/modules. However, res_fax.so and res_fax_spandsp.so ARE there. When was this change made? Must I register with Digium from here on out? Are there clear directions for doing this with Elastix? Also, WHY was this done? The old app_fax.so was working fine for me. Further, it appears that Digium's "free" version is limited to ONE simultaneous fax. This is a deal breaker for upgrading any other boxes. HOW CAN I GET THE OLD APP_FAX back in place so that my faxing exists like it USED TO BE? HELP? I consider this a bug, a major DOWNGRADE, a problem, or something negative. It isn't good, and the link to freepbx.org does NOT fix the problem.

(0003937) caldwell (reporter) 2011-08-02 16:19	If the developers have never consider this, we are used to having as many fax lines available as are necessary on our PRI line. To throttle us into a solution where we have only ONE line (digium FREE) or have to pay hundreds of dollars per year for MORE licenses if ridiculous and is a slap in the Penguin's face.
